About

Welcome to my personal photography portfolio site! I’m Zoltan, a Hungarian-born “Amateur” fine-art photographer based in Hampshire, England. I’m a member of Southampton Camera Club.

I began my journey in photography as a teenager as I was interested in the technology behind digital cameras (I’m a Software Engineer by profession).

However it was only recently that I decided to take things more seriously, having finished my international triathlon career which took up all my free time previously.

I’m currently interested in most genres of photography as I find that experience is universal. Photography is about drawing with light after all.

I would like my photographs to “stand the test of time” and become more interesting with the passing of time. Therefore recently I’ve been doing lots of (monochrome) street/documentary work as well as portraiture. I believe these images will be more valuable as they’re also historic artefacts, not just nice images to look at.

I’m always keen to improve my skills. As I’m relatively new to photography, I believe there’s still a lot I need to learn. I have recently been awarded the ARPS, LRPS and CPAGB distinctions and now would like to aim higher.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if my images caught your attention. I’m happy to work with people on artistic collaborations or get my work printed and framed for you.

Happy browsing!
